VULCANO
 It
is the island with more volcanic phenomenons: warm water in the Baia di
Levante; curative muds to the sulphur; fumarole. The crater is
attainable on foot in less than one hour it doesn't now erupt, and it
has only of the fumaroles and a view on all the Eolies. Volcano has two
principal roads, that of Levante where they also berth the means and
where thereis a great bathing zone, the other road is that of Ponente
with a beach of very beautiful black sand. The inhabited zones are the
zone of Vulcano Porto; Vulcanello; Vulcano Piano that is km 8 from the
harbour and where there is an ancient production of typical cheeses;
Gelso small center of fishermen on the south
zone of the island and to km 16 from the harbour. |
